Software Engineering Foundations is a foundational program designed to equip students with the technical knowledge, problem-solving skills, and African consciousness needed to begin their journey as software engineers. Students learn essential technologies including Linux, Git, Python, JavaScript, and MySQL, while also studying Africanism and Pan-African Studies, covering African History, Ideology, Governance, and Innovation. The program goes beyond teaching students how to write code. It encourages them to understand Africa, identify the challenges facing the continent, and explore how technology and innovation can be used to create meaningful solutions. The goal is to develop patriotic and Pan-African software engineers who can combine technical excellence with a deep understanding of Africa and contribute to restoring Africa's global leadership through technology. Students who successfully complete the program earn two certificates: Software Engineering Foundations and Africanism & Pan-African Studies.

Frontend Web Development is a practical program designed to equip students with the skills needed to design and build modern, responsive, and interactive web applications. Students develop proficiency in Figma, HTML, CSS, Tailwind CSS, React, and Next.js, while learning modern approaches to user interface design, responsive development, component-based architecture, and web application development. Through practical projects, students gain the ability to transform ideas and designs into functional, accessible, and professional web experiences. The program provides a strong practical foundation for building modern frontend applications and advancing further in software engineering.

Backend Web Development is a practical program designed to equip students with the skills needed to build secure, scalable, and reliable web applications and backend systems. Students develop proficiency in Python, Django, Django REST Framework, and PostgreSQL, while learning backend architecture, database management, API development, authentication, and server-side application development. Through practical projects, students gain the ability to design and develop robust backend systems, build RESTful APIs, manage application data, and create the services that power modern web applications. The program provides a strong foundation for building professional backend applications and advancing further in software engineering.

Mobile App Development is a practical program designed to equip students with the skills needed to build modern, responsive, and functional mobile applications using React Native. Students develop proficiency in JavaScript, React, React Native, Expo, navigation, state management, API integration, authentication, local storage, and mobile UI/UX. Through practical projects, students gain the ability to develop cross-platform mobile applications, connect applications to backend services, manage application data and state, implement authentication, and prepare applications for deployment. The program provides a strong foundation for building professional mobile applications for Android and iOS.

Full Stack Software Engineering is an advanced capstone program designed for developers who have already completed the Frontend and Backend Web Development programs and are ready to bring both sides of the stack together. Students learn to integrate Next.js and Django/Django REST Framework into a single, cohesive full stack application — handling authentication, API consumption, state management, and deployment across the frontend-backend boundary. The program then shifts focus to AI-assisted development, teaching students to use prompt engineering and modern AI coding tools to write, debug, understand, and ship full stack applications significantly faster. Because it builds directly on prior frontend and backend knowledge rather than teaching from scratch, the program is intentionally compact, moving quickly from integration fundamentals into high-velocity, AI-augmented development practice. Through a practical full stack project, students gain the ability to independently architect, build, and ship complete applications using AI as a core part of their workflow. This course is not intended for beginners — students must have completed both the Frontend Web Development and Backend Web Development programs (or have equivalent working knowledge of both) before enrolling.
